Kim Rahilly Bio:
The founder and president of KRPR Inc., now KRPR Creative Public Relations, Kim Rahilly is famous for launching many of L.A.'s most iconic brands including Burke Williams Day Spas, Bodies in Motion, Obagi Skincare, LA Urban Farms & Cafe Vida.
Known for creating the brilliant marketing strategies that turn lifestyle brands into household names, she has helped hundreds of companies to make millions. Her expertise extends to the areas of hospitality (restaurant/hotel/spa), eco products, green design, beauty, health/medical, fitness, DRTV, online shopping, household, luxury products, technology & more. She has worked with Rodney Dangerfield, Jane Seymour and Jessica Alba, and elevated many entrepreneurs and experts to celebrity status.
She spent a couple of years in Italy studying art & design before re-branding her company as KRPR Creative in 2010, a one-stop powerhouse shop offering a range of creative and technical services in addition to PR/branding and digital marketing.
The former editor of the magazine of the International Food, Wine & Travel Writers Assn., she is also a travel journalist who has been published in scores of outlets including MSNBC.com, Westways, Guest Informant, Destination Luxury, The Miami Herald and Boston Globe.
She put herself through college as a makeup artist, model and commercial actress before becoming a reporter for the San Diego Union-Tribune. The Japanese conglomerate Kao Corp. brought her to L.A. to handle a U.S. marketing campaign, and was later named PR Director for Revlon/Max Factor where she landed vintage products in the Smithsonian and drafted the global tag line, “80 Years of New Ideas.”
She holds a B.A. degree in Journalism from San Diego State University, and Certificates from the Writers' Program at UCLA, and Italian Language and Fine Art Curriculum from Scuola Michelangelo in Florence. Italy. She speaks Italian, and holds dual U.S.-Italian citizenship.
